Casa Favilla is designed for living with its clean and colourful decor complemented by many conveniences that are reflected in the 4.5 star AAAT rating. Each room has its own layout and theme. The "Great Ocean Walk' goes right past the front door. We work hard to make our guests as comfortable as possible and allow such things as guests using our washing facilities and dryer, but only by arrangement with us. We have many return clients and several families have chosen to rent all 3 rooms in a block. Children and babies are allowed under these circumstances. We are pet friendly but only when it is directly arranged with us as we need to ensure that one couples best friend is not some other persons holiday spoiler. We try to leave guests alone but are available 24 hours a day if there is a problem to resolve. Early check in and late check out can be arranged in most circumstances.

Location:

The beach is only 300 metres away, in any of three different directions. The Golf Club is 200 metres away while the wharf and boat jetty are a slightly further. The nearer of the two local hotels is about 350 metres away, while the nearest quality restaurant is about 400 metres away.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:

We try very hard to be infant and child friendly but need to ensure that other guests are not disturbed by an infant crying in the night. This means that we don't allow babies in all rooms.

Reception Information:

We live on the premises and are available 24 hours a day for check in or any emergency. We don't mind late arrivals, provided we are made aware of it in advance.

Business Facilities:

We have Wireless Broadband Internet available 24 hours a day and it is free to guests. Our FAX machine may be used to send or receive a Fax by arrangement with us. This is free within reason. We allow our cordless phone to be used to phone free to any fixed line phone anywhere in Australia.

Car Parking:

One off street parking space is available for each room with on street parking also available out the front.

Things to do:

There is a spa bath for two that may be rented by guests of any room. There is music and aroma therapy available in the spa room. There are DVD players available for all rooms and a small range of in house movies available free for guests to use. There are many games available that may be played in front of the gas powered log fire.

Local Attractions:

The "Shell Museum" is about 100 mtres away, as is the former "Mechanics Institute building where an indoor market is sometimes held. Fishing trips are available with more than one local vendor. Flights over the Otways, the Twelve Apostles, etc are available from two different vendors, while bush walking is a popular passtime for visitors to Apollo Bay. The Cape Otway Lighthouse is a 30 minute drive away, with Koalas in the trees a feature of the road to the lighthouse. Horse riding can also be arranged in the vicinity of the Lighthouse.

Getting There:

There is a bus service to Apollo Bay from Geelong, which stops outside the local information service. The local taxi service will take you to Casa Favilla from anywhere in the town for AUD$5. Arriving by car there is a 50/60 kph sign directly outside the front of Casa Favilla, on the approach side from the west (Port Campbell) direction. Travelling from Melbourne we are on the main route, but 300 metres past the Great Ocean Hotel. There is a small blue TOURISM sign for Casa Favilla opposite the Great Ocean Hotel.
