The beautifully renovated Point Lonsdale Guesthouse (ex ?Terminus House?, circa 1884) preserves the old world charm of yesteryear while the timber-panelled decor of the motel units will have you thinking you?re on a cruise. Authentic maritime artifacts throughout capture the romance of seafaring days gone by. All 22 rooms have their own ensuite, TV, fridge, tea making facilities and wireless internet The property provides off-street parking, a solar-heated pool & spa, tennis court, table tennis, guest kitchen BBQ's, laundry, lounge, bar and conference room. Continental buffet and cooked breakfasts are served in the dining room each morning. On the main road in Point Lonsdale the Guesthouse is situated between the shops and the Lighthouse. The main beach is within 200 metres while the Lighthouse, pier and surf beach are within 500 metres. Directly opposite is the Rip View Lookout from where you can watch all manner of ships negotiating the treacherous waters of the infamous Rip.

Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed. Bedroom 2 - either bunks or twin beds. Family suites comprise two rooms separated by a walk-through ensuite(which include bathtubs in rooms 4, 6 & 8). Timber panelling gives the rooms the feel of a ship's cabin. Each room in the suite has a TV and balcony access while the main room also has a fridge and tea making facilities. Suites 4, 5 & 6 are on the ground floor and face the back yard (pool / tennis court). Suites 8, 9 & 10 are upstairs with the same aspect while suite 11 is upstairs overlooking the rear courtyard / BBQ area. Each room can take an extra bed at an extra cost of $20 per bed

Point Lonsdale's iconic Lighthouse is framed by the window at the end of the room.

Getting There:

By Road: Melways reference 235 G10 UBD reference 678 A7 Point Lonsdale is a 90 minute drive from Melbourne and 25 minutes from Geelong. You'll need to head west out of Melbourne over the Westgate Bridge and along the Princes Freeway to Geelong. From Geelong, simply follow the green signs towards Queenscliff then turn right at the big roundabout as you enter Point Lonsdale. The Guesthouse is 200 metres past the shops heading towards the Lighthouse. By Bus: McHarry's Busline, a private service, travels the Bellarine Peninsula from Geelong via Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove and Queenscliff and stops within easy walking distance of the Guesthouse. By Rail: Trains to Geelong leave Southern Cross Station in Melbourne at least every hour. Take the McHarry's bus from Geelong Station. By Ferry: The Queenscliffe-Sorrento Ferry runs on the hour in both directions. The forty minute trip is the most convenient way for passengers and cars to travel between the Mornington and Bellerine peninsulars. The Guesthouse is a mere 5 minute drive from the Ferry terminal in Queenscliffe.
